Does More Pain Mean Better Lifting Results?

A closer look at the common belief that painful HIFU or thread lifting works better, and what actually matters instead.

Pain and treatment quality are not the same thing. A stronger sensation during lifting does not automatically mean the result will be better.

What actually determines the result

For procedures such as HIFU, the key factor is whether the energy reaches the correct depth and target layer with proper control. That is very different from simply making the treatment feel stronger.

Why pain varies so much

Pain depends on anatomy, nerve sensitivity, treatment area, and individual tolerance. Two people can receive the same settings and describe very different levels of discomfort.

Why “stronger is better” can be risky

Pushing energy too high just to create more sensation can raise the risk of unwanted tissue injury, delayed recovery, or side effects. Good lifting is about precision, not maximizing pain.

Comfort management is part of good treatment. Reducing unnecessary discomfort can actually help the procedure stay more controlled and accurate.
